I have always been fascinated by cats falling and how they twist as they fall and always land on their feet. This piece is based on my cat Rory (who is a long sleek ginger desert cat) just coming into land. My husband did drop him quite a few times from a a small height (onto nice soft grass!) and I video'd the sequence. Only his pride was hurt!
