This was a private commission of the five children of a familly. They are roughly five years apart in age, ranging from 3 years to 23 years. I got to know the children well and the decision to have them bare-foot was because these kids are wonderfully grounded. They are holding hands as they have a strong family bond and looking outwards towards the future and all that the world holds for them.
