This study was made with the help of some very beautiful Bahraini bred Salukis. El Hur means 'Noble one' and these impressive hunting dogs are the only dogs that Mohammed (PBUH) approved for keeping by Muslim arab people for that purpose. They are the only dogs to have a single coat, no fluffy undercoat making them suitable for life in the desert. It is thought they are the oldest breed of dog. Salukis are sight hounds and I wanted my study to give the impression that the dog was on look out for something to chase.
